Coaches
My name is Erica Parker. I have been with the Wildcat Swim Club for 4 seasons. I have been coaching swimming in some capacity for 27 years. I was the head swim coach for Berkmar High School from 2012-2016 until my son, Declan was born, then I took a step back to take care of him. I am also currently an adult swim instructor at Gwinnett Swim in Buford, GA.
As a swimmer, I was primarily a butterfly/backstroker. I LOVED the IM. I am a strong believer in technique over speed. If you can do the strokes correctly, the speed will come.
I have a dual degree in Elementary and Deaf Education from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL. I have been in Gwinnett County Public Schools since 2008. I am currently a 4th grade teacher at Chattahoochee Elementary. I started teaching in 2006 at Briarlake Elementary in Dekalb County. I transferred to Norcross Elementary in 2008 and was a 4th grade teacher there until 2012 when I was asked to move to Berkmar High School to teach their Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students. This was when I took over the Berkmar Swim Team until 2016. I took a year off of teaching to spend with Declan and I have been with Chattahoochee since 2017.
My goal for the Wildcat Swim Club is to teach them to be efficient in the water. Efficiency leads to skill, skill leads to speed.
Dr. Mahoney began teaching in IRR Special Education in all content areas in 2003. She is a graduate of University of Alaska, Anchorage, North Georgia College and State University, Columbus State University, and Georgia State University. This is her third year as a Swim Club Coach. She is looking forward to working with you and your students.
Hi! My name is Kaitlyn Ault and I have been coaching the Wildcat Swim Club for the past 3 years. I swam competitively for 11 years, including 6 years as a membe4r of the Duluth Middle and High School swim teams. I began coaching the Wildcat Swim Club in 2023 while I was still a high schooler. When I swam, I specialized in backstroke and short freestyle.
I graduated Duluth High School in 2024 and am currently attending the University of North Georgia, where I am pursuing a degree in Kinesiology with a concentration of Exercise Science. After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan on pursuing my Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) with the goal of becoming a pediatric physical therapist. As a coach, I enjoy helping swimmers gain confidence in the water in order to achieve their goals.
Andy brings two years of hands-on experience as a coach and instructor at Gwinnett Swim, where she built a strong foundation in technique development and swimmer engagement. Her personal competitive background includes years in the pool with a passion for the butterfly stroke, as well as high school water polo, giving her a well-rounded perspective on water sports, endurance, and team dynamics.
Andy is eager to dive in, share her passion for the sport, and help Wildcat swimmers refine their strokes and reach their full potential this season.
