Fall Festival This Weekend!
Hi Duluth Swim & Dive Families!!
Our Duluth High School Swim & Dive Team and Wildcat Swim Club Middle School Team will be marching together in the 41st Annual Duluth Fall Festival Parade! The parade is this Saturday, September 28th. Please read below for more information!
Before the parade: Meet in the 600 building/theater parking lot at Duluth High School around 8:30AM. This is the lot down the big hill past the baseball fields and electronic sign. Parents cannot drive into this lot as we will be lining up here. You can drop off near this lot, but you have to park either behind the DHS gyms or at one of the shuttle locations and take a bus to Coleman Middle. We are spot number 52.
During the parade: The parade begins at 10:00am. Swimmers/divers should wear Duluth Swim/Dive shirts or other purple/black/Duluth shirts and tennis shoes since they will be walking a lot. Since we are still working on registration, we will not have 2024 team shirts ready in time for this event. Please also have your swimmers/divers bring candy to throw during the parade. No sticks (like lollipops), light candy (like sweet tarts that will not throw well), or things that will melt easily (no chocolate). Please note, the swim team will be marching toward the end of the parade line.
After the parade: We will walk from the end of the parade, up past the train tracks behind the library, down Main Street, and back to Coleman Middle School. High school students will be dismissed on their own, but must talk to the coaches about their post-parade plan before leaving. Middle school students must be picked up by a family member unless you let Coach Kailyn know any differently. You can either pick your child up along this route or at Coleman Middle School. Please be at this pickup location by 11am, and know that all roads will be closed to driving due to the parade.
I have marked all locations on the map if you are unfamiliar with where you are going: PARADE MAP.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Have a great week!
